UMAR UMB CALLS ON GOVERNMENT TO CONTINUE HARNESSING BALA WUNTI’S EXPERIENCE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Says Wunti’s Expertise Can Support Economic Growth, Energy Development and Human Capital
Software Developer, entrepreneur and media professional, Umar Umb, has called on the Bauchi State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria to continue creating opportunities for Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti to contribute his experience, expertise and ideas towards economic development and the advancement of the nation.
Umar Umb said Nigeria needs to continue benefiting from the knowledge and professional experience of Nigerians who have spent years contributing to strategic sectors of the economy, particularly energy, investment, agriculture, human capital development and community empowerment.
According to him, Dr. Bala Wunti’s professional background and experience in Nigeria’s energy sector make his contributions relevant to ongoing national conversations around economic transformation, energy security, investment and sustainable development.
He urged government and relevant institutions to continue engaging experienced professionals such as Wunti in areas where their expertise can support national objectives.
«“Nigeria needs experienced professionals who understand the system, have practical knowledge and are willing to contribute to the development of the country. People like Dr. Bala Wunti should continue to be given the opportunity to contribute their experience and ideas wherever they can add value to national development.”»
Umar Umb further emphasized that supporting experienced professionals should not be viewed only from the perspective of individual appointments, but also as part of a broader strategy of tapping into Nigeria’s human capital.
He noted that experienced Nigerians can contribute through policy discussions, investment initiatives, mentorship, institutional partnerships, youth development and strategic economic programmes.
He also called for greater collaboration between government, private-sector institutions and development-oriented individuals in order to create more opportunities for young Nigerians and strengthen local economic activities.
According to Umar Umb, the ultimate objective should be to ensure that professional experience and private-sector capacity are effectively connected to programmes that deliver measurable benefits to ordinary citizens.
He therefore appealed to the Federal Government and Bauchi State Government to continue providing platforms where Dr. Bala Wunti and other experienced Nigerians can contribute constructively to the development of the country.
“The goal should always be development, service and impact. Wherever experience can be transformed into opportunities for the people, government should be open to such collaboration,” Umar Umb stated.
