Pate Urges Nigerians to Consider Tinubu for Second Term, Calls for Continuity

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has urged Nigerians to consider giving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a second term, calling for continuity in the implementation of the administration’s ongoing reforms.

Pate made the call while speaking on the political and developmental direction of the country, stressing the importance of allowing ongoing programmes and reforms to mature and deliver their intended impact.

The minister highlighted areas of national development including healthcare, social protection, education, economic reforms and human capital development as sectors requiring sustained attention and consistent policy implementation.

According to Pate, continuity in governance could provide an opportunity for the Federal Government to consolidate programmes already initiated and further strengthen measures aimed at improving the welfare and economic prospects of Nigerians.

His comments come as political activities and discussions ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gain momentum across the country.

Supporters of President Tinubu have continued to advocate for his re-election, citing the administration’s reform agenda and ongoing programmes, while political opponents and other stakeholders have continued to present alternative positions to voters.

Pate’s appeal therefore adds to the growing public conversation over the direction of Nigeria’s leadership beyond 2027, with Nigerians expected to assess the records, policies and programmes of all political actors before making their choices at the polls.

Insight Tribune News will continue to provide balanced coverage of developments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
