Hajiyah Zainab Aliyu Yusuf Support Group has extended greetings to Nigerians as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for peace, unity and continued commitment to national development.


In a message issued in connection with the celebration, the group, associated with support for Senator Shehu Buba Umar, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) governorship candidate for Bauchi State in the 2027 election, congratulated Nigerians on the national occasion.


Senator Shehu Buba Umar was affirmed as the PRP’s Bauchi State governorship candidate at the party’s May 2026 primary. 


The group used the occasion to emphasize the importance of peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship and unity among Nigerians, particularly as the country continues preparations for the 2027 general elections.


The message also called on citizens to promote mutual respect and constructive participation in democratic processes while working towards the development of their communities and the nation.
