🇳🇬 DR. BALA MAIJAMA’A WUNTI AT 66: “NIGERIA’S ENERGY FUTURE MUST DRIVE INDUSTRIAL GROWTH, JOB CREATION AND PROSPERITY”

A Message from Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, CEO, World Energy Council Nigeria, on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary

As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Nigerians at home and abroad.

Sixty-six years of independence represents a journey filled with achievements, challenges, lessons and opportunities. It is also a moment to reflect on where we have come from, where we are today, and the kind of future we want to build for our nation.

Energy remains one of the fundamental pillars of national development. Nigeria is blessed with abundant energy resources, including oil, natural gas and significant opportunities in renewable energy. Our collective responsibility is to transform these resources into reliable and affordable energy that can drive industrialisation, economic growth, job creation and improved living standards.

I remain optimistic about Nigeria’s energy future. We must continue to encourage investment, innovation, technology, infrastructure development and stronger collaboration among government, the private sector, professionals and other stakeholders.

My vision is to see Nigeria build an energy system that is reliable, sustainable and capable of powering the nation’s economic transformation — supporting industries, empowering young people, creating employment opportunities and opening new avenues for investment.

I also look forward to a future where Nigerian youths play a leading role in developing innovative technologies and solutions that will shape the next generation of our energy sector.

On this special occasion, I call on all Nigerians to continue working together towards building a united, peaceful, prosperous and energy-secure Nigeria.

May Almighty God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, strengthen our unity, grant our leaders wisdom, and guide us in using our God-given resources to build a better future for present and future generations.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria! 🇳🇬

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
