The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Tijjani Murtala, has reiterated the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Police and communities in the collective effort to maintain peace, security and public safety across the state.
The Commissioner’s approach places emphasis on community engagement, intelligence sharing and constructive partnership with relevant stakeholders as essential components of effective policing.
Under the leadership of CP Tijjani Murtala, the Jigawa State Police Command continues to engage communities and stakeholders in promoting peaceful coexistence while encouraging members of the public to support lawful security efforts and provide useful information to the appropriate authorities.
Community policing remains an important aspect of modern security administration, as it creates opportunities for citizens and law-enforcement agencies to work together in identifying security concerns and addressing them through dialogue and coordinated action.
The Command also continues to encourage residents to remain vigilant, respect the rule of law and cooperate with security personnel in protecting lives and property.
The partnership between the Police and communities is particularly important in sustaining the peaceful environment necessary for social and economic development. Through mutual trust, responsible citizenship and effective communication, stakeholders can contribute to building safer communities across Jigawa State.
