Bala Wunti Takes Stronger Role in Northern Mobilisation for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election


 Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti has emerged as a key figure in the northern mobilisation effort backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.


Wunti was appointed Director of Finance and Resource Mobilisation of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), a northern political mobilisation platform established to support Tinubu’s re-election campaign across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory. 


His involvement reflects a broader emphasis among the group’s leaders on organised mobilisation, resource coordination and strengthening grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.


In Bauchi State, organisations associated with Wunti have also been reported to be expanding grassroots structures and promoting support for Tinubu, alongside programmes focused on youth inclusion, empowerment and civic engagement. 


Wunti’s public profile in the energy sector and his growing involvement in political mobilisation have positioned him as one of the prominent northern figures participating in the debate over continuity, economic development and Nigeria’s political direction ahead of 2027.
