Hon. Barr. Abba Dahiru Mangal is a prominent young leader and proud son of Katsina Central, widely recognized for his commitment to public service, youth development, and community progress.


Born into the respected family of renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal, Abba Mangal inherited a strong tradition of service, generosity, and dedication to the welfare of the people. His family name is synonymous with community support and development across Katsina State and Nigeria at large.


Abba Mangal received his primary and secondary education in Katsina State, alongside a solid Islamic education. From an early age, he distinguished himself as an intelligent, disciplined, and respectful student, earning admiration from both teachers and peers.


Driven by a passion for justice and leadership, he studied Law and graduated with a First Class degree. He subsequently qualified as a Barrister, equipping himself with extensive knowledge of law, constitutional governance, human rights, and public advocacy.


His journey in public service reflects a wealth of experience at both state and national levels. Between 2021 and 2022, he served as Special Assistant on Trade and Investment under former Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, where he gained firsthand experience in governance, policy implementation, and economic development.


From 2021 to 2023, he served as Personal Assistant to former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, an opportunity that exposed him to leadership and decision-making at the highest levels of government.


He later continued his service as Personal Aide to Vice President Kashim Shettima from 2024 to 2025, further strengthening his understanding of national development, public administration, and effective leadership.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, Abba Mangal is widely known for his passion for empowering young people and supporting vulnerable communities. His vision centers on creating opportunities for youth and women, promoting economic growth, and ensuring effective representation for the people.


Supporters describe him as educated, experienced, visionary, honest, and dedicated to public service. Many believe his blend of youthful energy and governance experience positions him as a leader capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of Katsina Central.
