JIGAWA CENTRAL: SOME LEADERS ARE BIGGER THAN POSITIONS

There are moments in politics when the outcome of a contest may not reflect the true value of a person. Amb. Halima Sulaiman Zakari is one of those personalities whose worth goes far beyond a political ticket or an elective position.

If Jigawa Central had the opportunity to have her represent them in the Senate, I believe it would have been a remarkable chapter for the constituency. Not simply because she is a woman, but because of the character, courage, intelligence, humility and sense of responsibility she brings to public life.

Political opportunities may come and go, but genuine leadership remains. A person who has the capacity to inspire people, stand for what is right and remain dignified even when things do not go as expected has already demonstrated a quality that no ticket can give and no political decision can take away.

The fact that she did not secure the ticket this time should never be interpreted as a failure. Sometimes, Allah closes one door because He knows that another door will lead to something greater.

What matters now is that Amb. Halima continues to believe in herself, continues to serve humanity and continues to make a positive difference wherever Allah places her.

To the people of Jigawa Central, perhaps one day you will look back and realise that you were presented with a rare opportunity to have a woman of such calibre at the highest level of representation.

To Amb. Halima Sulaiman Zakari, your political journey is not defined by one decision, one election or one ticket. Your story is still being written.

Keep moving forward with dignity. Keep serving with sincerity. Keep believing in the future.

The Senate may not have happened this time, but greatness is not cancelled by a missed opportunity. Sometimes, the greatest chapters of a person’s life begin after the chapter they thought would define them comes to an end.

May Allah continue to elevate you, strengthen you and open doors of greater honour, service and impact for you.

Your value remains. Your voice remains. Your future remains. And your best days may still be ahead. 🇳🇬❤️
