JIGAWA CENTRAL MAY HAVE MISSED AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE AMB. HALIMA SULAIMAN ZAKARI AS THEIR SENATOR

Sometimes, politics reminds us that a position does not define a leader, and a ticket does not determine a person’s worth.


Looking at the qualities, courage, commitment and sense of responsibility demonstrated by Amb. Halima Sulaiman Zakari, one cannot help but feel that Jigawa Central may have missed an opportunity to have a woman of strong character, vision and integrity represent the people at the Senate.


Losing the ticket may be disappointing, but it is certainly not the end of the journey. Sometimes, what appears to be a setback is simply Allah redirecting a person toward something greater.


What makes Amb. Halima truly admirable is the maturity, patience and dignity with which she has handled the outcome. True leadership is not only demonstrated when everything goes in your favour; it is also demonstrated by how you conduct yourself when things do not go as planned.


A political ticket can be given and taken away. A position can come and go. But integrity, character, humility, goodwill and the love of the people are qualities that no political decision can take away.


Jigawa Central may not have Amb. Halima Sulaiman Zakari on the ballot this time, but that does not erase her contribution, her aspirations, or the respect she has earned.


I sincerely believe that her political journey is far from over. There are still greater opportunities ahead, and perhaps Allah is preparing a path that will take her beyond what she initially imagined.


Amb. Halima, keep your head high. You may have lost a ticket, but you have not lost your value. You may have missed a position, but you have not lost your voice. And you may have faced a political setback, but you have not lost your future.


May Allah continue to grant you wisdom, strength, good health and greater opportunities to serve humanity. May He open doors that no one can close and take you to places where your vision, compassion and leadership will have an even greater impact.


The ticket may have slipped away, but your dignity remains.

The position may have been missed, but your potential remains.

And the journey may have taken a different turn, but the best may still be ahead.
