The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Nguru has continued to witness significant transformation under the leadership of Prof. Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, whose administration has placed strong emphasis on quality healthcare delivery, innovation, infrastructure, and human capital development.


Among the notable developments recorded under her leadership is the introduction of Electronic Health Records (EHR), strengthening the Centre’s commitment to modern and efficient healthcare information management.


The Centre has also witnessed the establishment of Mental Health and Oncology Units, the renovation and expansion of critical hospital wards, as well as the development of a modern renal complex and dialysis services, further expanding access to specialised medical care for patients within Yobe and neighbouring communities.
