Dr. Adamu Atterwahmie Mourns Emir of Gumel, Describes His Death as a Monumental National Loss

The Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birnin Kudu, Dr. Adamu Abdullahi Atterwahmie, has expressed profound grief over the passing of the Emir of Gumel, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Sani II, CON, describing the loss as a monumental tragedy for the Gumel Emirate, Jigawa State, and Nigeria as a whole.


In his condolence message, Dr. Atterwahmie said the late monarch was an outstanding traditional ruler, a respected statesman, and a symbol of wisdom, peace, and selfless service whose contributions transcended the boundaries of his emirate.


He noted that the Emir's death has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill, given his remarkable role in promoting unity, social development, education, and peaceful coexistence among communities.


“The passing of His Royal Highness is a great loss not only to the people of Gumel but also to Jigawa State, Northern Nigeria, and the entire nation. He was a leader whose wisdom, humility, and dedication earned him the respect of people from all walks of life,” Dr. Atterwahmie stated.


He extended his heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the people of the Gumel Emirate, the Government and people of Jigawa State, and all those affected by the painful loss, while praying that Almighty Allah grants the late monarch Aljannatul Firdaus and comforts everyone mourning his passing.


The late Emir will be remembered for his enduring legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to the welfare of his people.
