WAZIRIN DAMBAM CONGRATULATES WAZIRIN MISAU ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS DAN GALADIMAN DAMBAM
The Waziri of Dambam and Senior Councillor of the Dambam Emirate Council, Dr. Ahmad Umar Abdullahi, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Waziri of Misau, Barrister Ahmed Ibrahim Dandijia, following his appointment as the new Dan Galadiman Dambam.
According to an official letter issued by the Dambam Emirate Council on July 14, 2026, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dambam, Alhaji Idris Bappah Musa, approved and confirmed the prestigious traditional title in recognition of Barrister Dandijia's outstanding contributions to the development of the Dambam Emirate, Dambam Local Government Area, and Bauchi State as a whole.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Ahmad Umar Abdullahi described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that the title of Dan Galadima remains one of the most respected traditional positions in the Hausa Kingdom, carrying significant responsibilities in leadership, conflict resolution, and advisory roles within the emirate system.
He commended Barrister Ahmed Ibrahim Dandijia for his commitment to community development, public service, and the promotion of peace and unity, expressing confidence that he would bring his wealth of experience and wisdom to the new role.
Dr. Ahmad Umar Abdullahi further prayed for Allah's guidance, protection, and wisdom upon the new Dan Galadiman Dambam, urging him to continue supporting initiatives that will foster growth, harmony, and prosperity across the emirate and beyond.
The appointment has been widely welcomed by stakeholders, traditional institutions, and well-wishers, who see it as a recognition of merit, dedication, and selfless service to humanity.
"This honour is not only a recognition of past contributions but also a call to greater service for the people. We pray that Allah grants him the strength and wisdom to discharge the responsibilities of the title successfully," Dr. Ahmad Umar Abdullahi stated.
The Dambam Emirate Council is expected to announce arrangements for the formal turbaning ceremony in due course.
