ECONOMIC GROWTH AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MUST REMAIN A PRIORITY — AMB. ALIYU BIN ABBAS

Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas has emphasized the need for a stronger economy and sustainable national development, noting that the prosperity of any nation depends on its ability to create opportunities for its citizens and improve their standard of living.


According to him, Nigeria possesses enormous potential in agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, commerce, and human capital. However, these resources must be effectively harnessed through sound policies, responsible leadership, and strategic investments that benefit the people.


He stated that economic growth should not only be measured by statistics but by the impact it has on the lives of ordinary citizens. A growing economy, he explained, should translate into more jobs, better infrastructure, improved education, quality healthcare, and greater opportunities for young people and businesses.


Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas further stressed the importance of empowering entrepreneurs, supporting local industries, encouraging innovation, and creating an environment where businesses can thrive. He noted that when citizens are empowered to be productive, the entire nation benefits through increased prosperity and social stability.


Speaking on national development, he highlighted the need for unity, accountability, and long-term planning. He maintained that sustainable progress can only be achieved when government, private institutions, and citizens work together toward a common vision of growth and development.


“Nigeria has what it takes to become one of the world's leading economies. With determination, good governance, strategic investments, and the active participation of our people, we can build a nation that provides opportunities, dignity, and prosperity for all,” he said.


Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas remains optimistic about the future of Nigeria and continues to encourage citizens, especially young people, to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship, and nation-building as vital tools for achieving economic transformation and national progress.
